Facility

We are not accepting new applications at this time. If you have any questions, please direct them to our Client Services Department at (780) 944-8011 or apply@dogswithwings.ca.

Facility Dogs provide goal-directed interventions which foster enhancement in physical, social, emotional, and cognitive abilities.  A Facility Dog is supported and led by professionals with specialized expertise, using connection and presence to support others in their big moments. There is increased demand for our DWW Facility Dog accredited program to meet the needs of the organizations that help so many. We currently service:

  • The largest Child and Youth Advocacy Centres and Treatment Centre in Western Canada
  • Stollery Children’s Hospital
  • RCMP
  • Lethbridge Police Service
  • Courtrooms to help families (as victims of crime) navigate the justice system
  • Schools and other incredible organizations

If a DWW Facility Dog will help your organization, we encourage you to fill out a letter of intent. This will help us ahead of the program opening to determine interest and suitability. Please watch our website and social media which will announce when we are accepting applications again.

In the meantime, we encourage you to support DWW by donating to us or through volunteering. While we receive a nominal yearly fee from our facility partners, DWW does not receive any sustainable government funding. To grow this program and meet demand, we need the generosity of our community. Every dollar makes a difference!
