Cricket

Meet Cricket!
Breed: Labrador Retriever (Black)
Sex: Neutered Male
Birthdate: April 12, 2024
Cricket is an easygoing, gentle, and deeply affectionate dog who is looking for a home that will appreciate his kind nature and love of connection. He is a cooperative and friendly companion who moves through the world with a calm, steady demeanor, making him a lovely presence in the home.
Cricket has a soft, social personality and is especially known for being a favorite play partner among other dogs. While he is generally relaxed, he has playful bursts of energy—especially when interacting with his favorite housemates or enjoying time at the dog park. He also loves seasonal adventures, whether that’s splashing in the water, exploring a lake, or playing in the snow.
While Cricket is very loving, he can be a bit aloof when first meeting new people and may take some time to fully open up. However, once he forms a bond, it is incredibly strong. He thrives on affection and connection and would happily spend time relaxing alongside his people.
Cricket is also a thoughtful and sensitive dog who communicates subtly. When he begins to disengage during outings, he will often shift to sniffing, and he does best with handlers who can recognize and respond to these moments with support and clarity.
Cricket does best in a home with other dogs. He enjoys the companionship and play that other dogs provide and tends to build confidence and settle more easily when he has a canine friend. He is social, appropriate in his interactions, and often becomes a favorite playmate, making him a great addition to a multi-dog household.
He has excellent cooperative care skills and is comfortable with grooming routines, including nail trims and teeth brushing. He benefits from regular opportunities for both engagement and relaxation.
Cricket will thrive in a home that values his gentle temperament, provides clear but kind structure, and embraces both his independent nature and his deep capacity for connection. He is a truly sweet dog who forms meaningful bonds and will make a wonderful companion as he moves into his next chapter.
Other Notes:
Would do best in a multi dog home

Jack

Meet Jack!
Breed: Labrador Retriever (Black)
Sex: Neutered Male
Birthdate: July 23, 2024
Jack is an affectionate, playful, and spirited dog who is looking for a home that will embrace his goofy personality and zest for life. He is a social boy who thrives on connection, both with his people and with other dogs, and he brings a fun, lighthearted energy to the home.
Jack loves to play and especially enjoys the company of other dogs. He would do well in a home where he has opportunities for social interaction, whether that’s with a resident dog or regular playtime with canine friends. His playful nature and easygoing demeanor make him a great companion for dogs who enjoy an active and engaging play style.
He is an enthusiastic learner who is always eager to try something new in training. Jack benefits from continued positive reinforcement and engagement, and he shines when given the opportunity to use his brain and build skills alongside his handler.
Jack will also benefit from continued support with his leash skills, as he can be a strong puller on walks. With consistency and positive reinforcement, he has the potential to make great progress. He also experiences some mild separation anxiety and will do best in a home where someone is around more often and can help him build confidence and comfort when alone.
Jack does have environmental allergies, which can present as redness in his eyes, itching and ongoing chin acne. These are manageable, but his future home should be prepared to stay on top of his care and monitor his skin to keep him comfortable.
At his core, Jack is a loving and good-natured dog who is happiest when he is with his people. His goofy personality and affectionate nature make him a joy to be around, and he will thrive with someone who appreciates his playful spirit and is excited to continue guiding him as he grows.
Jack is ready to bring a lot of love, laughter, and companionship to the right home as he begins his next chapter.
Other Notes:
Jack’s allergies will need ongoing management
A home committed to positive reinforcement and relationship-based training is essential
