Foster a puppy in training and support their initial skill development and socialization to become a future Assistance Dog.

Location: Edmonton & Area, Calgary & Area, Red Deer, Lethbridge

Time Commitment: 12 – 16 months

Qualifications:

• One adult must be at home during the day or be able to bring the puppy to work with them
• The puppy must live in the home as a member of the family
• Must be able to attend weekly obedience and socialization training classes
• Must be interested in learning how to train a dog with kindness, care and by meeting their natural needs
• No more than 2 resident dogs in the home

Foster a dog in our Advanced Training program and support their skill refinement and continued socialization to become a future Assistance Dog.

Location: Edmonton & Area

Time Commitment: 12 – 16 months

Qualifications:

• The dog must live in the home as a member of the family
• Must be interested in learning how to train a dog with kindness, care and by meeting their natural needs
• Must bring the dog into the Dogs with Wings facility before 9 a.m., and pick up after 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday
• No more than 2 resident dogs in the home

Ensure our dogs have a safe and comfortable place to stay when their regular caregivers are away, whether for short or long periods.

Location: Edmonton & Area

Time Commitment: As much as you’re able to give! Some boarding visits are as short as 1 night, and some are as long as 2 months! You also have the flexibility to choose the age of the puppy you host, from 8 weeks to 36 months old.

• Must be interested in learning how to train a dog with kindness, care and by meeting their natural needs
• No more than 2 resident dogs in the home
