Gala 2025

Gala 2025 — "Beyond the Leash" — marked a milestone for Dogs With Wings: 30 years of placing life-changing assistance dogs with people across Alberta. The sold-out ballroom was filled with supporters, clients, and their dogs, all gathered to celebrate three decades of impact and community.

As a proud accredited member of Assistance Dogs International and one of few approved Government of Alberta Service Dog Schools, Dogs With Wings breeds, trains, places, and supports PTSD/Trauma Service Dogs and Mobility Service Dogs. The organization also offers Facility Dog, Therapy Dog, Wellness Dog, and Companion Dog programs serving the largest Child and Youth Advocacy Centres in Western Canada, Stollery Children's Hospital, RCMP, Lethbridge Police Service, and other incredible organizations.

The evening featured powerful testimonials from graduates whose lives have been transformed by their assistance dog partnerships, a lively live and silent auction, and a heartfelt paddle raise that saw the community rally together. A focus on well-being, compassion, harmony, connection, and hope — values that strengthen the DWW team, bridge community, and ensure positive outcomes for years to come.
