The process to get a Guide or Assistance Dog from us has a number of steps. We will want to know about you, your living arrangements and family or other supports. We also want to meet with you in your home so we know what tasks you require in a Guide or Assistance Dog. We also want a report completed by your medical professional detailing your need. *Please note that Dogs with Wings will only place dogs with Canadian citizens ordinarily resident in Alberta.*
Dogs with Wings is unable to provide:
• Training or certification for self-trained dogs
• PTSD, psychiatric or emotional support dogs
• Seizure alert or response dogs
• Diabetic alert or response dogs
• Hearing dogs
